90 VDC your operating costs are kept to a minimum. Ordinary single-phase
power is all that is required. You can choose from input voltage options

power source. A small generating set or solar option, along with deep
cycle batteries, provide you with economical alternatives when other methods
may not be available or are too cost prohibitive to consider.
To
maximize efficiency, the 898's center drive utilizes a high-efficiency
grease lubricated 90 VDC right angle gearmotor. Features include precision
bronze gears, gaskets on the brush caps, o-rings between the endplate
and the frame along with stainless steel output shafts. The center drive
has been designed with enough torque and enough "irrigation duty"
features to provide you with years of reliable service.
Complimenting
the center drive are wheel drives built to rigorous specs by Electra-Gear.
The housing is a two piece aluminum alloy casting that is stronger and
more resistant to shock loads than cast-iron. For high efficiency a precision
ground hardened-alloy steel worm shaft and a precision-milled worm gear
are used.Supporting the load are oversize high-quality tapered roller
bearings.
Included
as standard for operator devices are a "Power On-Off" rocker
switch, a "System On-Off" rocker switch, an illuminated "Start"
push button, a "Forward-Reverse" rocker switch, a "Wet-Dry"
rocker switch, a heavy-duty percentage timer, and an hour meter. All controls
are conveniently located on an inner door to provide you with simple and
secure operation.
Each
tower is controlled by dual microswitches ensuring positive and safe alignment.
Traction is provided by 26" 4-ply "Super Lug" tires.
Virtually
all maintenance and adjustments can be performed from the ground level.
